I read "blue sky" some while ago. I found it hard going reading it online. Another good one is Millers "Bare Faced Messiah" a book documenting the history of El Ron from childhood forward. He was, apparently, quite the conman, concocting a fantastic (and fallacious) history for himself as an adventurer, scientist, and war hero. He also dabbled in black magic and experimented extensively with hypnotism. Apparently.

A Piece of Blue Sky
by Inquiry inhi all.... just spent the night reading a piece of blue sky... incredible book by a fella named atack... on operation clambake... what an amazing exposee on the scientologist "religion".
i was interested because of some of the threads here and having nothing else to do, and not feeling my best last night, i thought i would give it a go.
i was impressed that the entire book was there and honestly, i couldn't stop reading it!

Is Having Kids Worth It?
by Prisca inok, i'm a single female in her early 30s looking for someone to settle down with.
i'd like to have kids, but the trouble with dating guys who are over 30 is that by now most have a kid and/or have decided they don't want any/more.
so i am getting faced with the dilemma of maybe finding that someone special, but he may not want to have kids.

people really should learn to read all the relevant posts before commenting "spunky". She was called the "loser" of the 'debate' first. She merely says that she thinks her opponent is the loser. She is responding, not initiating.
sheesh

Non garbage:..."And the other 21 hours I'm eating bon bons"...
I think not, but after years of watching women, Ive concluded that they are very wastefull of time. A man will do a job in three hours that a woman will take 6. Shopping is an example. And they buy a hundred dollars worth of useless items every time they go out. This is what Ive experienced. There was a home shopping party here last week, and entire afternoon chattering away and looking at cleaning equipment. Gawd, just go to the supermarket and buy a mop already....
apologies if you find me blunt.

..."not for the size of someones assets or lack thereof."...
Xena, of course is a different matter. A year of Xenas lovin' would be worth spending the remainder of my life living in a cardboard box on the street.

Oh, and Witchy, dont forget. Theoretical "missX" who I choose to marry and divest my genetics upon, after 7 years of marriage and 2 kids decides shes had enough, leaves me, and cleans me out of everything Im worth thanks to the court system.
Do I look stupid to you?? I think not. Get out and get a job. After all, we live in an equal society now. Everyone has the "right' to support themselves. lol.
edited. Im not attacking you witchy, its cool. If your hubby wants you at home thats his business. But id be arranging "pre nups" agreements myself

Witchy.
Its all carefully weighed in my mind and is purely my own viewpoint on things, as indeed your view that I talk 'hogwash' your own view on things. In my view Im worth a certain amount of money in assets, If I were available and interested would I marry a young thing that has 20,000 worth of debt, no assets, and wants to stay home making a full time career out of a 3 hour a day job, while I work in the factory 60 hours a week to support her?
I think not. Im past such things. Im too experienced. Im not that desperate. Thats my position. Love it or leave it

Personally I wouldnt know what to do if not for the joy that my sons presence brings to me. Children are a joy,if you are willing to spend some time on them. Of course there are those who are too self absorbed with their own careers and personal wants to give anything of themself to any other person. Too bad for them. I put a bit of effort into my son and it pleases me that, at 13 he chooses to spend time with his old dad.
Perhaps you need to rethink some of your categorical and set positions with regard to being a "house mum". I cant imagine many 'established' men who would be interested in financially carrying a woman who wants to make a career out of cleaning the house and nursing baba.

Thomas Acquinas' Five Ways
by ignorance is strength inacquinas had five ways to prove that god existed (summarized).
1. motion.
since things like planets are moving, something must've put them into motion.. 2. the cause of existence.

Arguments 2 and 3 are surely the same thing in my mind. They are the argument from first cause. If I am to ask “who made me?” I may as well go further and ask “who made God?”. If everything must have a cause then God must have a cause as well. If one is to suggest that God had no cause, then it is just as valid to say that the universe and physical matter has no cause and exists spontaneously.
The natural law argument is a line of thinking that was very popular under Newtonian influence. But currently the understanding of the natural world is far beyond Newton. As an example, consider the world of subatomic particles. There can be no doubt that this world exists and operates in the manner understood by modern science, yet what do we find there other than a world of apparent confusion , and chaotic chance.?
Any 'laws' that you find there are just such laws as result from statistical averages.
The argument from design goes: “The world is made just so hot, and with so much rain fall as to render the earth a fit place for human habitation” But since Darwin we have understood that humans and animals and microbes adapt to the available environment , not the other way around. One might say we have lungs suited to breathe oxygen because the planets atmosphere comprises oxygen . Indeed, relative to rainfall and temperature the world is undergoing current rapid change. Shall man adapt or shall God step in to save him? If one thinks upon the argument from design and then contemplates the amount of time God has had to generate the utopia that has been promised can anyone doubt that they would do a much better job if they had omnipotence themselves?
I think the God of ‘design’ has not done too good a job.

Hey oz. The members of the unoficially nonexistant GB are "permanent as long as they remain" faithful. Wheres their scripture reference for that one? I suppose they have to be permanent otherwise thered have to be "elections"... a word the WT doesnt like.

.."all of whom are prophets,"..
I suppose they mean that they all are prophets in that they are preaching a message of things that will be while out in the preaching work. If you are not an active preacher then I wouldnt constitute you of that "publicly preaching prophet" class
